ABOUT THE STUDY

The study covers all of Allegany County — more than 1,000 square miles of towns, villages, farms, and industries. By reviewing today’s sewer systems and estimating what will be needed in the future, the plan will recommend the most economical ways to collect, treat, and safely dispose of wastewater.

This plan will serve as the official guide for future sewer projects. Communities that follow the plan will be in the best position to receive state approvals and funding for their projects.
